Drink
Sip every 15-20 minutes during runs where you typically feel queasy, or use as a recovery drink right after a hard effort. Fresh ginger is more effective than dried for anti-nausea purposes. Mince it fine or grate it on a microplane so it dissolves into the drink. Strain before pouring into your bottle if you do not want bits floating. Best within 24 hours.
Grate the fresh ginger on a microplane or finely mince it.
In a jar or shaker, combine the water, ginger, maple syrup, honey, lemon juice, and sea salt.
Shake well and let sit 5 minutes for the ginger to infuse.
Strain through a fine-mesh sieve if you prefer a clear drink, or leave the ginger in for stronger flavor.
Pour into your running bottle and refrigerate until ready to use. Shake before drinking.
